A Message from Your President
Hello Georgia SGNA membership. It has been an honor to serve alongside so many dedicated gastroenterology nurses and associates who continue to strengthen and uplift our professional community. One of the key changes made during my 2025 term was updating all board member terms from one year to two years. Thank you to those who supported this important bylaw change. This update gives the president-elect more time to learn, grow, and be mentored while continuing to receive guidance from the Immediate Past President over a two-year period. Although regional societies across the nation have faced membership decline due to reduced employer support for professional and educational growth, as well as the retirement of many long-time gastroenterology professionals, I am proud and encouraged to say that the Georgia Society for Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates, Region 17, remains alive, thriving, and full of promise.
